Where Should We Shoot?
Choosing a location can be a bit overwhelming, so I put this page together to make it super easy for you. These are my favorite spots around DFW—places where I know the light is killer and the vibes are always right.
Take a look and see what matches your style. But hey, don't stress if you can't decide on just one! I’m here to help you through the whole process. Just narrow it down to your top 2 or 3 favorites, and we’ll figure out the perfect match together.

I only book sessions here from Monday to Friday. Weekends get insanely crowded with tourists and events, making it almost impossible to get those clean, intimate shots without crowds in the background. Trust me, a weekday here is 100% worth it!
Penn Farm at Cedar Hill State Park
The Vibe: A historic 19th-century farm featuring rustic weathered barns, vintage machinery, and scenic open trails. Perfect for a timeless, country Texas look.
Address: 1570 FM1382, Cedar Hill, TX 75104
Hours: 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM (Daily)
General Admission: $7 per person.
Pro Tip:
This location is absolutely unmatched during golden hour (just before sunset). The light hitting the old wooden structures and open fields looks incredible. Since it is a state park, I highly recommend reserving your day passes online a few days in advance, as the park can occasionally reach capacity limits on busy weekends.
Mandalay Canals at Las Colinas
The Vibe: Old-world European charm right in DFW. It features Venetian-style canals, cobblestone walkways, beautiful brick arches, and elegant waterfront bridges. Perfect for a romantic, classy, or high-fashion look.
Address: 215 Mandalay Canal, Irving, TX 75039
Hours: Open daily (Best during daylight hours).
General Admission: Free for everyone.
Pro Tip:
The cobblestone paths and stairs look incredible but can be a bit tricky to walk on. If you plan on wearing high heels or formal shoes for the photos, I highly recommend bringing a comfortable pair of flip-flops or sneakers to wear while we walk between spots!
Flippen Park (Highland Park)
The Vibe: Upscale, romantic, and perfectly manicured. It features a beautiful European-style white gazebo, a classic reflection fountain, and vibrant seasonal flowers, all nestled in the middle of a prestigious neighborhood.
Address: 4421 N Versailles Ave, Dallas, TX 75205
Hours: 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM (Daily)
General Admission: Free for everyone.
Pro Tip:
This spot is incredibly compact, meaning we don't have to walk far at all to get completely different looks—the fountain, the arches of the gazebo, and the landscaped lawns are all just steps apart. It is absolutely perfect for elegant or formal outfits. The lighting is at its best about an hour before sunset when the sun filters softly through the massive surrounding trees.
Historic Lancaster Square (Lancaster)
The Vibe: Classic, historic small-town Texas charm. It features vintage brick storefronts, a central gazebo, historic landmarks, and textured alleys. Perfect for a timeless, casual, or retro look.
Address: 100 W Main St, Lancaster, TX 75146
Hours: Open daily.
General Admission: Free.
Downtown Waxahachie & Ellis County Courthouse
The Vibe: A breathtaking historic district featuring a massive pink granite courthouse, cobblestone-style streets, string-lit alleyways, and beautiful Victorian architecture. It feels like stepping onto a classic, romantic movie set.
Address: 101 W Main St, Waxahachie, TX 75165
Hours: Open daily (Best during daylight hours).
General Admission: Free for everyone.
Pro Tip:
This spot is perfect if you want a romantic, upscale, or vintage look without having to drive all the way into Downtown Dallas. The brick alleyways behind the shops provide incredible, warm textures, and the grand courthouse steps offer a luxury backdrop that looks absolutely amazing with formal or dressy outfits.
Samuell Farm
The Vibe: A charming, rustic retreat featuring wide-open fields, massive mature trees, classic white fences, and historic farm structures. It offers a peaceful, country-style backdrop that feels completely tucked away from the busy city.
Address: 100 E Highway 80, Mesquite, TX 75149
Hours: 6:00 AM – Sunset (Daily)
General Admission: Free for everyone.
Parking & Logistics:
Parking is completely free and very easy to find in the main lot on-site. Because the farm area is quite spacious with plenty of open space to explore, we will coordinate an exact spot to meet up near the main entrance or fences so we can kick off your session right on time.
Pro Tip:
This location shines brightest during the golden hour just before sunset. The sun filters beautifully through the giant pecan trees, creating a warm, dreamy glow across the tall grass fields. It is an ideal spot for casual, rustic, or bohemian-style outfits, and the vintage white fences provide a beautiful, classic framing for family or couple portraits.
Dallas Arts District & Winspear Opera House
The Vibe: Sleek, modern, and high-fashion urban architecture. It features clean concrete lines, a massive and iconic red glass facade, and a beautiful shallow reflecting pool. Perfect for a sophisticated, contemporary, or dramatic look.
Address: 2403 Flora St, Dallas, TX 75201
Hours: Open daily (Best during late afternoon or evening).
General Admission: Free to walk around the exterior spaces.
Parking & Logistics:
Parking is available in nearby commercial underground garages or through street meters. Because this is located in the heart of downtown Dallas, traffic can pick up if there is a theater show scheduled for the evening. Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early so you can find parking and walk comfortably to the main plaza.
Pro Tip:
This is the ultimate spot if you want a clean, city-vibe shoot. The giant red glass structure looks incredible both in daylight and right after sunset when the building lights turn on. I highly recommend wearing formal, elegant, or striking solid-colored outfits here—they contrast beautifully with the minimalist gray concrete and modern backgrounds!
